Graveside services for Mr. A.B. Heyward, Jr. will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Memorial Park Cemetery in Barnwell, South Carolina. Rev. Deonia Simmons and Rev. Ernest Sanders officiated. Mr. A. B. "Sonny" Heyward, Jr., son of the late A.B. Heyward and Dorthy Heyward, was born on November 11, 1958 in Barnwell, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 21, 2011. A.B.was educated at Blackville High School. At a young age, he joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Martha Jeffrey. Cherishing his precious memories are his four brothers, Hanspert (Dororthy) Gathers, Sr., of Barnwell, SC, Jimmy (Betty) Gathers of Barnwell, SC, Ray (Melinda) Wallace of Blackville, SC, Broderick Lynn Heyward of Blackville, SC; three sisters, Irene J. (Charles) Edwards of West Palm Beach, FL, Bridgette (Russell) Zimmerman of Cameron, SC, Irene (Joey) Aaron of Blackville, SC; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and other relatives.
