Albert Leon Felder, affectionately known as "Catfish," was born October 26, 1948, in Barnwell County to the late Lillie Mae Bailey and Wilbur Minus. He departed this life on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at his residence.

Albert received his education through the Barnwell County School District. He was a graduate of Macedonia High School. He continued his studies at Area Trade School, which is now known as Denmark Technical College.

At an early age, Albert accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Macedonia Baptist Church. In his adult years, he also attended Baughmanville Baptist Church in Wagener, SC before returning to Blackville, SC.

Always a hard worker, Albert was a stellar employee at Savannah River Site for 30 years from December 1976 – November 2006. After his "retirement", he continued working as a General Contractor throughout the CSRA. Albert completed both residential and business contracting services up until his death.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beatrice, who raised him upon the untimely passing of his mother, and Willie Felder, Sr, great-aunt Carrie Wright, aunts Adele Felder and Geneva Felder, uncles Queenie Felder, Leroy Felder, Freddie Lee Felder, and Thaddeus Felder.

Albert leaves to cherish loving memories: one son, Kelcye Felder of Irmo, SC; one daughter, Crystal Felder of Chapin, SC; one stepson, Shahron (Natalie) James of Fayetteville, NC; one grandson whom he adored, Kelton Felder of Chapin, SC; three sisters Laurah (Michael) Sanders of Suffolk, VA , Adrienna (Joseph) Isaac of N. Augusta, SC and Jeannie Wylie of Decatur, GA; three brothers Garry Wylie of Martinez, GA, William (Kenyatta) Bailey of Suffolk, VA and Darryl Bailey of Griffin, GA; four aunts, Annie Myers of Brooklyn, NY, Martha Felder of Blackville, SC, Rev. Roberta (George) Egerton of Louisburg, NC and Min. Willean (Willis) Holley of N. Augusta, SC; three uncles, Roosevelt (Juanita) Felder of Blackville, SC, Dea. Willie (Doris) Felder, Jr. of Blackville, SC, and Paul (Alberta) Felder of Neptune, NJ, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
