Mr. Albert Patrick, Sr. was born December 24, 1929 on the
country farm in Bamberg county, Denmark, South Carolina, a son of
the late Isaiah Patrick and Mrs. Sadie Huggins Patrick. He departed
this life on June 29, 2022 in Flushing Queens, NY at Flushing Medical Rehab following an extended illness.
Albert attended Jericho County School, five miles from home, walking with three of his siblings. He received only a third grade education
because, being the eldest boy, he had to go to work on the family farm.
Albert had to plow with a mule named Cricket. Cricket moved fast,
so Albert had to move fast. Albert remained on the farm until he was
17 years old.
Because of his desire to see his parents and siblings have a better
life, Albert moved to Florida and started working for CSX Railroad
Company. After a brief period, Albert returned to South Carolina and
went to work at the "Bomb Plant", Savannah River Site for five years.
Albert would bring his paycheck home and give most of the money to
his parents. He did not like riding in a wagon, so he helped his father
to buy their first car, a 1937 Chevrolet. Albert always took good care
of his family.
Later in life, Albert was employed for twenty-three years by Coolweld Corp., where he specialized in boring and rebuilding engine
blocks. He was also employed for fifteen years with the EMS/Fire
Dept at the US Fort Trotten Army Base maintaining heat units and
air conditioning apparatus systems, as well as boiler heating units
and building upkeep.

Albert loved to tell jokes and make the family laugh. His favorite an�imal was a cat, and favorite musical instrument was the guitar. He
was always willing to help anyone, in any way that he could.
On January 1, 1956 Albert was joined in holy matrimony to Ms.
Mary Ellen Brown. This union was blessed with four sons.

Albert was affiliated with Lebanon Seventh Day Adventist Church
in Jamaica, NY. He was a Deacon-in-training. He believed in the
second coming of Christ. He firmly believed that it wasn't how much
you know, but what you do with what God has given you that makes
the difference. His parents taught their children to get down on their
knees and pray "The Lord's Prayer." They learned how to give thanks
to God before meals, to work for what they needed and to be honest
and true, even if it hurt.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Albertha
Smalls and Ida Mae Brantley; two brothers, Lewis Patrick and Willie
Patrick a grandson, Adrian Ian Patrick; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Bell
Hughes and Dart Patrick and four brothers-in-law, Ernest Brown
(Shine), Otis Brown (Tip), Jessie Brantley, Sr. and Williare Smalls.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories: four
sons, Albert Patrick, Jr., Anthony Patrick, Sr., Dennis Patrick and
Randal Patrick; daughter-in-law, Annette Angela Patrick; grandchildren, Anthony Patrick, Jr. and Andrae Rashaun Patrick; step-grandchildren, Terelene Dibba, Hussein and Hassan; a sister, Dorothy
Jackson (Edward) Redwine; a brother, Jake Patrick; four sisters-inlaw, Alfia Patrick, Thelma Patrick, Carrie Bell Priester and Mary
Washington as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
