Funeral services for the late Deaconess Albertha Patrick Smalls will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 am at City of Refuge Ministries, Denmark, SC.  Interment services will follow immediately at Old Springfield Cemetery, Denmark, SC.


Deaconess Albertha Patrick Smalls was born to the late Saddie Patrick and Isaiah Patrick in Denmark, SC on December 24, 1929. She attended school in Denmark, SC she was married to Willie Smalls on January 23, 1949. They were married for 55 years. In fifty five years of Marriage This Union was blessed with 7 Children, 1 deceased. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and Friend. Deaconess Smalls spent every day praying hours for others and studying the word of God. Albertha Loved visiting the sick , sharing the Word and sharing time with family. Our Mother was constantly there for her Children & Others. She also raised 8 Foster Children there was always a place at the table for children or those who had no home. Her joy was bursting over when she became a member of the City Of Refuge Ministries 13 years ago, under the loving leadership of Bishop & Prophetess Wroten. Her weekly Joy was to be in Service . She departed this life as she lived this life prepared to see Jesus . On April 17, 2016 she was with her daughter (Margaret) and son(Michael) in Conyers Ga, were she called on Jesus 3- 4 times as she went from temporary to Eternity with Christ. Out of her love & compassion she leaves (2) Sons: Mr. Larry Smalls of Laurelton Queens, NY. Minister Michael & Ursula Smalls of Lithonia, GA. (4) Daughters: Ms. Margaret A. Mazone of Conyers, GA, Ms. Mary Avery of Augusta, GA, Ms. Willie Mae Smalls of Lithonia, GA, and Ms. Sandra Smalls of Union City, GA. (2) Adopted Sons: Mr. Prince Moody of Arizona and Mr. Marion Moody of Columbia, SC. (17) Grandchildren, (20) Great-Grandchildren, (1) Sister Mrs. Dorthy & Edward Redwine of Denmark, SC. (2) Brothers: Mr. Albert Patrick (Her Twin brother ) of Queens, NY & Mr. Jake Patrick of Philadelphia, PA. (4) Sisters-In-Law: Mrs. Ophelia Patrick of Denmark, SC, Mrs. Jessie Mae Harrison of Brooklyn, NY, and Mrs. Thelma Patrick of Augusta, GA, (2) Brothers-In-Law: Mr. Sylvester (Lillie) Smalls of Brooklyn, NY & Mr. Larry (Emma) Smalls of Denmark, SC. And a host of loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Deaconess Albertha Smalls Lived a life of Purpose. She made a decision long ago in her youth to commit ,Love and serve Jesus. She was not in pain , she was in peace and prepared to see Jesus.

This day we rejoice with her as she rejoices with Her Mother Sadie, Father Isaiah, Husband Willie and brothers Louis & Willie and sister Ida Mae in Heaven. We know you can hear the Laughter and Joy as they embrace for Eternity. One of Her favorite scriptures John 14:1 -3 " In my father's house there are many mansions, if it were not so I would not have told you."
