He entered into a peaceful rest on Friday, September 30, 2011 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. Alexander, affectionately known as " Jive" attended the public schools in Bamberg County, SC. At an early age, he joined the Honey Ford Baptist Church in Denmark, SC where he attended until his health failed. Alexander is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Annie Mae Sanders and step daughter, Ms. Kristie Manigault. Left to cherish his memories are: his father, Mrs John Earl Sanders of Bamberg, SC; his fiancée, Ms. Karen Manigault of Bamberg, SC; one son, Demetrius Jones; two daughters, Crystal Jones and Toshiba Bryant all of Denmark, SC; one step son, Jamar Johnson of Bamberg, SC; seven brothers, Earl (Lorraine) Sanders, Jimmy (Jeanette) Sanders, James Ben (Mildred) Sanders all of Denmark, SC, Harry Gen Sanders and Donell Sanders both of Bamberg, SC, Carl Sanders of Orangeburg and Shawn Sanders of Aiken, SC; seven sisters, Carolyn (Lemuel) Hart, Betty (Allen) Stivender and Lorraine Sanders all of Denmark, SC, Patrice Reddish of Bamberg, SC, Tempest (Russell) Hightower of Orangeburg, SC, Sharon Hicks of Barnwell, SC, and Pearline Vanlingard of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, one-step grandson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Viewing for the public will be held on Tuesday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home.
