Funeral services for the late Amy Elizabeth Rice will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Dash's Funeral Home Chapel, Bamberg, South Carolina. Interment services will be held at Bamberg Memory Gardens located in Bamberg, South Carolina. Amy Elizabeth Rice, daughter of Willie James Rice and Ethel L. Grant-Rice, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:58 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 17, 1987. She graduated from Butler High School and received her Associate degree at Jefferson Community College. She was baptized at Good Hope A.M.E. Church. Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ms. Louise Rice, Prodigal Sr. and Annie Lee Grant. She leaves to cherish fond memories - her parents: Willie and Ethel Rice of the home; three brothers: Stevie (Angela) Rice of Louisville, Kentucky, Jeffery Rice of Louisville, Kentucky and Reginald (Vickie) Lawson of San Antonio, Texas; her special niece, Zhane Rice Cummings and her special nephews: Jaden Rice and Todd Rice, and other nieces and nephews; four aunts: Flossie Holman and Janet (Willie) Ransom of Bamberg, South Carolina, Leola Rice of Columbia, South Carolina and Ms. Annie Middleton of Brooklyn, New York; six uncles: Mr. John Wesley Rice of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Mr. Benjamin (Daisy) Grant of Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Prodigal (Linda) Grant, Jr. of Macon, Georgia, Mr. Leroy (Barbara) Grant of Columbia, South Carolina, Mr. McArthur Grant of Brooklyn, New York and a very special uncle, Mr. Daniel Grant of Louisville, Kentucky, and a host of other relatives and friends.
