Funeral services for the late Ann Elizabeth Hammond will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Shrub Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Blackville, SC.  Interment will follow immediately at Hope Memorial Park Cemetery, Barnwell, SC. Viewing for the public will be held on Sunday from 12:00- 7:00 pm at the funeral home.


Ann Elizabeth Daniels Hammond was born on November 8, 1940 in Barnwell, South Carolina to the late Amos Martin Daniels and Lela Williams Daniels.  She departed this life on January 16, 2019 at her resident, following a brief illness.

She joined Shrub Branch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age; there she found spiritual enrichment guidance.

Ann was employed at Healing Spring Nursing Home in Blackville, South Carolina for 20 plus years as a cook.

One son, Richard Hammond, preceded her in death.

Left to cherish fond memories are - her husband, Eddie Hammond, Sr.; two daughters: Loreen (John) Brown of Barnwell, South Carolina and Georgia (Edwin) Jones of Denmark, South Carolina; two sons: Eddie Hammond, Jr. and Ronnie (Lucia) Jackson of Blackville, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; three sisters: Rose Lee Brown, Eartha Lee Daniels and Bernice Butler all of Blackville, South Carolina; two brothers: Isiah (Gloria) Daniels of Barnwell, South Carolina and Mark (Dell) Daniels of Blackville, South Carolina; four sisters-in-law: Willow Carter, Eartha Ferguson, Nell (Clay) Johnson and Mary Lou Hammond all of Blackville, South Carolina; three brothers-in-law: Leroy (Betty) Hammond, Johnny Hammond and David Hammond all of Blackville, South Carolina; one aunt, Alma "Sweet" Jackson of Aiken, South Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
