Larry Hall and Minister Johnell Copeland On November 2, 2011, Mrs. Annie Ruth Berry entered into eternal rest, following an extended stay at Laurel Baye Healthcare in Williston, South Carolina. She was born on March 25, 1923, in Barnwell County, South Carolina and she is the daughter of the late Mr. Elmore Gloster and Mrs. Glennie Brown Evans. Early in life, she joined St. Peter Baptist Church where she served as a faithful servant until her declining health. Mrs. Berry was a former member of the St. Peter Baptist Church Usher Board, the Senior Choir, and a member of The Society Organization. She attended the public schools in Elko Public School. Her profession was in the healthcare field, doing what she loved which was taking care of others. She loved and adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Annie was married to the late Willie Berry, Sr. This union was blessed with two children. The memory of Annie will continue to live in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her. Cherishing her memories are: a son, Willie Berry Jr. of Elko, South Carolina; a daughters, Lillie (Thad) Harrison of Blackville, South Carolina; sisters, Dorothy (Abraham) Heyward and Lillie Bell Bradley both of Blackville, South Carolina; brothers, James Gloster, Willie (Martha) Gloster both of Blackville, South Carolina; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; ten great- great grandchildren; an adopted daughter, Gloria Garvin of Williston, South Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for the public will be held on Monday between the hours of 3:00- 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
