Annie Mae Joyner was born on February 13, 1948 to the late Roosevelt and Ora Lee Davis in Dillon, South Carolina.  She was raised in Harlem, New York.  She attended and graduated from the high school of Arts and Designs, Brooklyn, New York.

She was employed by Newark Public Schools where she worked in food service for 30 years.  In 2005, she retired and moved to Orangeburg, South Carolina.  She had a love for her family and friends and she was truly loved by everyone she came in contact with. Annie's loving personality was infectious and she found great enjoyment in singing, dancing, shopping and drawing.

Annie Mae Joyner departed this life on January 5, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Louise Joyner Pridgen-Fulmore; her mother, Ora Lee Davis; her father, Roosevelt Davis; her sister, Carolyn Davis; her two brothers, Malcolm Davis and James P. Davis; a brother-in-law, Marion Albert Odom.

Many cherished and fond memories are left to her dearest and closest friend Sandra Odom of Orangeburg, SC; daughters Deborah Joyner of Washington, DC; Anita (Elder Clarence) McIntyre of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Shanice (Alvin) Pridgen-Davis, Albert (Brittany) Pridgen, Jr., Clarence (Brianna) McIntyre, III, Sasha McIntyre, Bobby (Christina) Moye, Jr., Demetrice Moye, D'aja Fulmore, D'amba Fulmore; great grandchildren, Aria Davis, Alvin Davis, Zoey Davis, Aubree Pridgen, Dameisha Moye, Miranda Moye, McKayla Moye, Mackenzie Moye, Egypt Fulmore; sisters, Betty Davis of New York, New York, Ruby Conway of Bronx, New York, Evangelist Beverly (Bishop Louis) Howell and Denise Dunbar (Michael) of Orangeburg, SC; Nelda Hodges (John "JW") of Quincy, FL and Marsheila Odom-Warren of Newark, NJ; a sister -in-law, Terry Hill Odom and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
