Arthur Edward Allen was born on March 7, 1947, in Barnwell County, SC to Deacon Rozell and Nina May
Lee Allen and also Mrs. Hattie Allen who all preceded him in death.

Arthur attended Macedonia School and was a graduate of the Class of 1965. He was employed at Owens
Corning Fiberglass of Aiken, SC until his retirement in 2008. He devoted his time to working and
maintaining his farm and as a trustee at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

On April 26, 1969, Arthur married Ms. Pansye Mitchell. This union was blessed with four children, one
son, Jermaine Allen of Williston, SC and three daughters,  Charmaine Mercer of Pittsburgh, PA, Sade
Allen of Williston, SC, and Shanel Allen of Decatur, GA.

Arthur was preceded in death by four brothers, Deacon Willie Allen, Dave Allen, Savoy Allen, and James
Allen.

Although Arthur's presence will be no more, he will always be remembered and loved by family and
friends.

Arthur leaves memories to be cherished by his wife and four children; one great grandson, Kingston Allen of Greenville, SC ; his nephews, Nathan
Allen of Charlotte, NC, Sentonio Allen of Williston, SC and Christopher Allen of Clarksville, TN; his
nieces, Lawanda Hope of Columbia, SC, Theresa Allen-King of Reidsville, GA, Yvonne Woods of
Pineland,SC;  Bernadette Copeland of Valley Alabama; his grandchildren, Tynisha Allen of Greenville, SC,
TyShawn Allen of Williston, SC, Ceon and Kindred Mercer of Pittsburgh, PA and Shinece and Octavia
Mack of Williston, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances.
