MRS. BARBARA ANN JONES, 57, was born on November 22,
1963, in Barnwell County, SC to the late Mr. Eddie Mayes Sr., and Mrs.
Ella Mae Walker Mayes.
She was baptized at Frost Branch Baptist Church in Elko, SC
where she received her early spiritual upbringing. She received her
high school diploma in Williston, SC. She was a faithful employee of
Augusta Fiberglass in Blackville, SC until her health failed.
Barbara was united in Holy Matrimony to Abadine Jones on June 12th,
2013, but they had a life-long love of over 39 years. She was affectionately
known for her delicious cooking, her love of fishing, and was an avid fan
of the Los Angeles Lakers. Her memory will live in the hearts and minds
of all who knew and loved her forever.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Roberta
Brown, and brothers, Cleve Mayes and Harry Mayes.
On Sunday, June 27, 2021 Mrs. Barbara Jones made her final
transition from this life into eternity.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: a loving and devoted husband,
Abadine Jones of the home in Blackville, SC; two sons, Trinnten Mayes
(Ebony) and Terence Joyner, both of Blackville, SC; one daughter, Cierra
Mayes of Blackville, SC; four grandchildren, Ke'ondre Davis, Karson
Epps, Tristian Mayes and Hailey Cuthbertson of Blackville, SC; two
brothers, Eddie Mayes Jr. (Annie) of Denmark, SC and Willie Mayes of
Ft. Pierce, FL; one sister, Mildred Madelene Mayes of Aiken, SC; six
aunts, Helen Mayes, Dorothy Mayes of Blackville, SC, Catherine Walker
of Williston, SC, Francine Mayes of Denmark, SC, Sandra Mayes Jenkins
of Salley, SC and Rosa Dowling of Ft. Pierce FL; mother-in-law, Nerline
