Matthew 11:28-30 Mrs. Bernice Joyner Williams was born February 9, 1937, in Bamberg, South Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late Lindy Green and April Joyner, Sr. After an extended illness, God call her from "Labor to Reward" on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta Georgia. She was educated in the public schools of Barnwell County. She was employed at Meadow Brook Nursing Home, Blackville, South Carolina and Barnwell County Hospital for a number of years as a Certified Nurses' Assistant. Early in life she joined the Sweet Branch Baptist Church where she remained faithfully throughout her life. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late James Williams. Her greatest joy in life was cooking for her family members and being around her nieces and nephews (The Joyners). She will be truly missed to the ones who loved her so dearly. Though she is no longer with us physically, she will remain in the hearts of all of those who loved and knew her. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her children, Larry (Janice) Williams, Jacksonville, Florida, Annette Black, Luchrisha Williams, Kathy Emma Simmons, Franckie Roberson, all of Blackville, South Carolina, Isaiah Richards, Jr. (a devoted caregiver), Laura (Andy) Johnson, Aiken, South Carolina, two children which preceded her in death, Bernice Williams, Jacqueline (Curtis) Kinard, Denmark, South Carolina, Mary Jerido, Helen Ross, (adopted daughters), two sisters, Laura Joyner and Josephine Green, Columbia, South Carolina, three brothers, April Joyner, Jr., Jasper Joyner, and Marion Joyner, all of Columbia, South Carolina, a devoted friend, Mr. Frank Felder, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other living relatives, and friends.
