Mr. Billy E. Johnson was born September 6, 1954 to the late William Elmore and Mary C. Johnson in Barnwell County, South Carolina. He succumbed to the calling of his father on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at MUSC Lancaster in Lancaster, South Carolina.

He joined Tabernacle Baptist Church at an early age and was a member of the usher board.

Billy was educated in the Blackville Public School System and graduated from Blackville High School in 1972. He furthered his education at Voorhees University in Denmark, South Carolina.

Billy was employed at Savannah River Site as a First Line Supervisor for several years, until he retired. Billy "Bear" was a member of the Atomic Dog Motorcycle Club in Aiken, South Carolina, past member of Barnwell County Economic Development Board and Blackville Town Council.

Billy was an avid Blackville- Hilda Hawk fan!

Preceding him in death was his mother, Mary C. Johnson, father, William Elmore; his brothers, Freddie Johnson, Pedro Johnson, Michael Saxton and Frankie Corley; sister, Stella Evans.

To celebrate his life, he leaves to cherish his fond memories: a devoted wife, Olanda Johnson; his daughters, Dr. Yolanda D. Johnson, Columbia, SC, Latasha Holmes, Williston, SC, Tenisha Johnson, Blackville, SC; sons, Brian Chisolm, Blackville, SC and Commander William M. Corley USN, Upper Marlboro, Maryland; grandchildren, Alyah G. Holmes and Rodney R. Holmes, Jr., Williston, SC and Majure Campbell, Kash Campbell and Cali Smith, Blackville, SC. (Billy was Alyah's personal driver! He loved his grandchildren and was putty in their hands); step children, DaShana Williams, Dezman Williams; sisters, Lillian J. Harrison, Lynda (James) Roberts and Rose (Albert) Raysor all of Blackville, SC, Mildred Corley, Manhattan, NY; brothers, Rev. James E. Johnson, Sr., Blackville, SC, Joshua D. Saxton, Blackville, SC; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn C. Johnson and Carol T. Johnson, Blackville, SC, John Paul Evans, Augusta, GA; uncle and aunts, Elbert (Patricia) Crumb, Barbara Crumb, Carolyn (Albert) Poole, Nancy Crumb and Gwen Murph all from St. Petersburg, FL; Godchildren, Jennifer Tyler, Tameka Doctor, Chelsea R.
