On the afternoon of September 17, 2024 at 12:30 PM in the Lexington Medical Center, a beautiful life came to a close when Mrs. Brenda Williams Brandyburg joined those in that home not built with hands, but whose maker and builder is God.

Brenda is the daughter of Geraldine Williams.  She was born August 22,1966 in Orangeburg County, SC.

She attended the Orangeburg pubic schools, receiving her high school diploma from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg, SC.

Brenda accepted Christ early in life and allowed Him to guide her throughout her life.  She joined Thankful Baptist Church in Bamberg, South Carolina.  She studied God's Word and was not ashamed to tell you how much she loved the Lord.  She spoke strongly and convincingly that she was not afraid of the day when she too would go to be with Jesus.

Brenda worked at The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg, SC as a Nursing Assistant.  Years following, she worked private duty as a caregiver.

Brenda met and married Woody Brandyburg. Brenda loved unconditionally and cherished family.  Brenda's career revolved around helping others.  Brenda and Woody's late, beloved son, Keio Bryson Keitt was their heartbeat.  Brenda made sure that Keio enjoyed life (21 years) as a productive, happy, and well-rounded young man with Autism.  He carried the learning he received at home to school and shared these gifts with others who were autistic as well.  Keio was an advocate for being the best you can be, all because of the confidence Brenda instilled in him until he entered eternal life on July 16, 2013.  After Keio's passing, Brenda continued to show her love towards the autism community by supporting their needs and challenges and making sure that everyone knew that individuals with autism were entitled to be free of judgement and condemnation.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory:  her beloved husband, Woody V. Brandyburg; mother, Geraldine Williams of Orangeburg, SC; one sister, Theresa Williams of Orangeburg, SC; one brother, Koie Glover of Batesburg-Leesville, SC; aunts, Emma Orr and Gretchen Duncan, both of Bamberg, SC; uncles, Perry Duncan of Bamberg, SC and Dennis Duncan of Columbia, SC; sisters-in-law, Patricia Douglas of Orangeburg, SC, Wyonia Brandyburg of Columbia, SC and Teresa Randolph (Robert) of Raleigh, NC; brothers-in-law, Bernard Brandyburg (Helen) of Atlanta, GA and Reginald Brandyburg of Bowman, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends for whom she will always be their Joy.
