Brient Cristivel Sapp was born on December 14, 1972, to Rether Mae Sapp and the late Lonnie James Sapp. He was a graduate of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School class of 1992. He was a member of Greater Sidney Park Missionary Baptist Church. Brient was employed until his death at Batesville Tool & Dye in Aiken, South Carolina.

Brient is preceded in death by his father the late Lonnie James Sapp and his brother the late Roger Sapp.

Brient leaves to cherish his three sons, Jordan Turner of Miami, Florida, Brient Sapp Jr, of Columbia, South Carolina, Brison Sapp of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one daughter, Jessica Gause of Concord, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Omari Askew and Titus (Tj) Askew Jr, both of Concord, North Carolina; his mother, Rether Mae Sapp, of Bamberg, South Carolina; one brother, Bishop Dr. Lionel (Rev. Glenda) Sapp of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters, Raynea (Theodore) Behlin and Jeneane (Kevin) Platts all of Bamberg, South Carolina;
a devoted and special friend, Jackie Kemp of Blackville, South Carolina; a special cousin, Earnell Sherman of Lexington, South Carolina and a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives.
