Mr. Clay Calvin Robinson, Sr., son of the late Ellen (Goodwin) Duncan and Mr. Bethune Duncan was born 75 years ago in Barnwell County, South Carolina, and entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, South Carolina. Early in life, he joined the Shrub Branch Baptist Missionary Church of Blackville, South Carolina. From 1970-2001 he worked as a machine manufacturer for the Dixie-Narco Corporation in Williston, South Carolina serving as mentor for younger workers where he earned the respect of management and co-workers alike. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Georgia L. Davis in 1962 and from that union, four children were born. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Robinson, his brothers, Johnny Duncan and George Duncan and his sister, Beatrice Kitt. Left to cherish his everlasting memory are - his loving wife, Georgia L. Robinson; two devoted sons: Clay Calvin Robinson, Jr. (Natalie Howard-Robinson) of Waldorf, Maryland and Jackie Robinson of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one devoted daughter, Stephanie Baxter (Anthony Baxter) of Norcross, Georgia; one sister, Mary Robinson of Orangeburg, South Carolina; three sisters-in-law: Janie Colman, Gertrude Mays and Laddie Salley; five brothers-in-law: Sam, Randy and Bennie Salley of Blackville, South Carolina and Willie and John Salley of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren: Brian Patrick Robinson and Anthony Baxter, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, and a host other relatives and friends.
