Mr. Charles Henry Hill was born on March 1, 1948 in Denmark, South Carolina to Mrs. Bernice Ransom Hill Brown and the late Love Carnelius Hill. Charles was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. Robert L. "Ralph" Ransom and his first pastor, Superintendent Albert Brown. On Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at his home, Charles was received by an angel and entered into a better place, his eternal home in heaven. Charles attended Tompkins High School of Savannah, Georgia. He grew up in the Church of God In Christ in Savannah. He enjoyed many diverse hobbies: cutting many family members lawn, watching sports and he was a great chess player. He worked at Union Camp (now International Paper) for thirty two years until his retirement. Although Charles' presence will be no more, our memories of him will live in our hearts and minds forever. Charles Hill leaves to cherish his precious memories - a mother, Bernice Brown; three daughters: Theresa Hill-Weaver (Jay) of Germantown, MD, Sonya Hill-Floyed (Gerald) of Darien, GA and Felicia Griffin of Garden City, GA; two sons: Charles Henry Hill, Jr. of Brunswick, GA and Charles Zaire Hill of Garden City, GA; twenty five grandchildren and nine great grands; a sister, Missionary Annie McNair and brother-in-law, Elder Frank McNair of Bamberg, SC; aunts: Sarah Hill and Daisy Hill of Denmark, SC and Mildred Bynes (Bishop Lee Bynes) of Brooklyn, NY; uncles: Lee Roy Hill of Raleigh, NC, John Hill (Annette) of Bamberg, SC, David (Ella) Hill of Lees, SC, John Ruby of Denmark, SC, Jeff Ransom and Wilbert Ransom (Mary) of Brooklyn, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and a god sister, Saddie Washington of Savannah, GA.
