Mrs. Christabell L. Washington, graciously known to all as "Venia" was born May 10, 1942, to the late Sim and Ida Mae Washington in Bamberg County, South Carolina.  She departed this earthly live and entered into her eternal rest on October 27, 2018 at the Haven Hospice Care Center in Orange Park, Florida.

At an early age, Christabell accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and remained faithful to Christ throughout her life.  She became a devoted and dedicated member of the Capernaum Missionary Baptist Church and the various choirs until an untimely decline of her health.

Her meek demeanor and warm personality were proven as an invaluable asset during her tenure of over 35 years of employment within Denmark-Olar's School District.

Christabell Washington was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Levie Glover and from their beautiful union two children were born.

Christabell was preceded in death by her husband, Levie Glover, sisters and brothers:  Florrie Bell Johnson, Pearl Rice, Betty Ann Ray, Eartha Carter, Thomas Washington and John Henry Washington.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories – her three children:  Nathaniel Washington, Denmark, SC, Angelia D. (James) Littles, Jacksonville, FL and Michael Glover, Strongsville, Ohio;  three stepchildren: Delphine, Charles and Levie Glover, Jr, Far Rockaway, NY;  two grandchildren, Michael Mason and Aiden Sebastian Glover, Charlotte, NC; three step grandchildren, Jacksonville, FL and a special nephew Tavon Walters, Denmark SC; sister Mary Williams, Sanford, NC; two brothers:  Charles Washington and Nehemiah (Dollie) Washington, Denmark; and treasured relationships with Jessie and Christopher Matheney, Blackville, SC and Felicia Matheney, Columbia, SC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
