On July 5, 2021, our beloved Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Christine Robinson, was called from this earthly home to her heavenly home.  She was born on September 10, 1945 to the late Lucille Orr Legree and Claude Legree.

Christine was born and raised in Bamberg, South Carolina, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Mr. Charles "Charlie Boy" Robinson.  They moved to New York City and began their life together.

Christine attended The Brownsville Community Baptist Church and worked for The Van Dyke Community Day Care Nursery in Brooklyn, New York for many years, until she retired and moved back to her home town of Bamberg, with her sweet heart Charlie Boy, until his untimely passing in 1996.

Christine then returned back to the workforce at Felton Laboratory Chartered School in Orangeburg, South Carolina, until she retired again after 17 years of service.

She loved her family with all her heart and she gave a piece to everyone, she loved to give family gatherings where she would cook and she loved to spoil her grandchildren. Christine attended Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church of Bamberg, South Carolina. She loved her church and her church family, and served faithfully until the end.

Christine was preceded in death by her first born son, Bernard Robinson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters: Leasher (John) Suggs, Tammy (Douglas) Jones and Crystal (Willie) Hanton all of Bamberg, SC; Son: Corey Matthew (Monique) Robinson of Baltimore, MD and a Son of love she raised, Jonathon (Taliah) Rice, Esq. of Charleston, SC; Six sisters: Sallie Ann McMillan of Bamberg, SC,  Lillian Legree of Orangeburg, SC, Ruthie Williams of Denmark, SC, Lillie Bell (Edward) Shepherd of Bamberg, SC, Deloris Washington of Queens,  NY and Sarah Murdock of  Brooklyn, NY; A sister-in-law, Ada Legree of Bamberg, SC; Brothers-in-law, Mr. Henry J. (Sylvia) Robinson of Orangeburg, SC and Mr. Marion Dowling of Bamberg, SC; Twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren and two special nieces she mothered over the years, Rosetta (Edward) McClain and  a devoted niece, Sateedra (Martin) Revander, who was always there for her, also a devoted nephew, Jason E. Salley (Anjel) of Atlanta, GA.  Christine also leaves to cherish her memory, Mr. John Rice of Orangeburg, SC, who loved, cherished and cared for Christine dearly and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the entire Brooklyn Block 372.
