Clary Ann Sapp, "Cookie" was born May 26, 1953 to
the late Ozella Hightower and Rosevelt Jones of Bamberg,
South Carolina. On May 1, 2024, Clary Ann passed away
peacefully at Pruitt Health of Bamberg, South Carolina.
Clary Ann attended the public schools of Bamberg
County. She worked at Bamberg County Hospital and the
Department of Motor Vehicles in Bamberg. She also did
many other jobs in the Bamberg community.
Clary was a member of St. John Baptist Church. She was
a very sweet and kind person. If she knew you, she would
always speak and talk for a while.
Clary Ann was preceded in death by: her sisters, Ozalee
McCaskell and Ellamae McCaskell; and a brother, Bennie
Lee Owens.
"Cookie" will be missed by those she leaves behind. She
is survived by: her children, Terry Ann Sapp, Georgia Sapp
and Frankie Lee Sapp, all of Bamberg, South Carolina, and
Mary (Kelvin) Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina; seven
grandchildren, Daroshia Williams, Frankie Williams, Jamie
McMillian, Frankera Sapp, Darius Saxton, Mariah Folk, Kyle
Johnson and Cherish Glover; three siblings, Veronica
Hightower, Elizabeth Way and Leon Owens, all of Bamberg,
SC; a devoted friend, JC Hart as well as a host of greatgrands,
nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she loved and enjoyed.
