With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the beautiful life and cherished memories of Coleen Kay Goodwin, who was born on June 1, 1961, in Colleton County, to the late Leola Murdaugh Goodwin and Willie Elijah Goodwin. She peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on May 10th, 2026.

Coleen was educated in the Colleton County and Bamberg County School System, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed the strong work ethic and caring spirit that would define her throughout her life. She dedicated many years of faithful service as a machine operator at Allied Air, where she was respected for her dedication and perseverance.

A woman of deep faith and quiet strength. At an early age she joined McCune Branch Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Light of the World Baptist Church where Coleen was a devoted member and faithfully attended. Her loving spirit, warm smile, and compassionate heart touched countless lives within her church family and community.

Coleen was preceded in death by her beloved child, Jamie Shante' Goodwin; her siblings, Lenair Goodwin Jr., Sandra Goodwin, Linda Goodwin, Carolyn Odom, and Melvin Goodwin; one nephew, Allen Odom whom all welcomed her home into eternal rest.

Her legacy of love continues through those she leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted children, Shermeco (Bryan) Johnson of Cordova, Jarvas (Tekara) Crosby, Jr. of Waldorf, MD, Travarus (Latoya)Crosby of Huger, SC, Travis (Micole) Crosby of Spartanburg, SC and Orlando Robinson of Bamberg, SC.

She also leaves behind her brothers, Bobbie (Lori) Goodwin of Yuba City, CA and Eric Goodwin of Summerville, SC; her loving aunt whom she cherished like a sister, Eartha Miles of Jacksonville; her uncles, Vernon (Gail) Murdaugh of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Carlise Murdaugh of Ehrhardt and Donell (Ella) Murdaugh of New York City.

Coleen's greatest joy was her family, especially her treasured grandchildren: Corey Jones, Adriel Smalls, Bryshon Johnson, Jaylen Meeks, Tyrin Odom, Caden Crosby, Ambrosia Moore, Neveah Connor, Lia Odom, Graceyn Johnson, Ja'kayla Johnson, Aminah Crosby, J'myah Dunbar, Bailey Johnson, and Blair Johnson whose lives were brightened by her unconditional love, wisdom, and nurturing spirit.

She also leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son/nephew, Christian Goodwin; devoted cousins/daughters, Chon Johnson and Shelia Murdaugh along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever blessed by knowing her.

Although Coleen's earthly journey has ended, her love, laughter, faith, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who loved her. Her life was a testament to strength, devotion, and grace, and her memory will continue to shine brightly for generations to come.
