Funeral services for the late Mr. Darnell "Candy Boy" Mack will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Shrub Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Blackville, SC. Interment services will follow immediately at Hope Memorial Park Cemetery, Barnwell, SC. Darnell "Candy Boy" Mack went to be with his Lord and entered into an eternal rest on January 31, 2014 at 1:30 am at University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. Darnell was born on January 28, 1965, in Barnwell County, SC to his beloved parents, the late Clara Mae Ferguson Mack and Henry Lewis Mack. Darnell attended Blackville Public Schools. He was employed for many years as a HazMat worker for several companies in North Carolina. His work led him to travel across North Carolina, where he eventually made Raleigh, NC his home. Darnell was baptized and joined Shrub Branch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He had the biggest heart and was loved by many. He loved his family. If you were ever labeled as his friend, he would go out of his way to do anything for you. To his friends, he was known as "Mack", "D Mack", and "Macaroni". Darnell is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joe Lewis Mack. Darnell leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted fiance' of 19 years, Yvette Pittman of the home; his grandmother, Kayollie Ferguson of Blackville, SC; his cherished dog of 9 years, Storm Mack; his in-laws, Raymond (Darlene) Pittman of Rocky Mount, NC; niece, Courtney Boyce of Blackville, SC; uncles, Willie Edward (Connie) Ferguson of Bamberg, SC, Ezzell (Bonnie) Ferguson of Raleigh, NC, George Ferguson of Williston, SC, Monroe (Shirley) Robinson of Orangeburg, SC, Dennis Lee (Lenora) Ferguson, Williston, SC, Kenneth (Catherine) Mack of Blackville, SC, Leon (Dee) Mack of Blackville, SC; aunts, Linda (Mack) Jones of Blackville, SC, Lisa (Michael) Durban of Windsor, SC, DearAnn Ferguson of Williston, SC, SHeila (Charlie) Broughton of Williston, SC, Anna B. Abney of Augusta, GA, Shirley Young of North Augusta, SC; two devoted cousins (who were like his sisters) Carlena (Frank) Isaac of Blackville, SC and Gladys (Harold) Saxton of Colorado Springs, CO; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
