Funeral services for David Boynton will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lees, South Carolina. Interment services will follow immediately at the church cemetery. Viewing for the public will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. On Friday, July 13, 2012 God chose David Boynton to walk with him at Select Regional Hospital and he quietly closed his eyes and said Peace Be Thine. Mr. David Boynton begin his legacy in Jamaica Queens, New York on August 18, 1968 to Mrs. Vickie Boynton Dowling and Span Dowling, Jr. He was the grandson of the late Aaron L. G. Boynton and Eunice Mae Johnson Boynton, also the late Span Dowling, Sr. and the late Mary Alice Brown Dowling. Mr. Boynton embarked upon his educational quest in Blackville Public School System. He worked as a factory worker until his health failed. He is survived by his parents Vickie and Span Dowling Jr., two brothers, Phillip Dowling, Aiken, SC, Eric (Sharanna) Dowling, Blackville, one sister, Melissa (Robert) Wright, Dorchester, SC, Devoted Friend Lisa Moseley, four stepchildren, Tatitanna, Moseley, Sandi Moseley and Alonta Lucious and Tywon Lucious; two step grandchildren; a devoted aunt, Bobby Joe Perry Dowling; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
