Deacon Willie Reed, husband of Deloris Reed passed on August 5, 2021 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  He was the son of the late Henry and Fannie Reed and was born on September 19, 1928 in Bamberg, South Carolina.

Deacon Willie Reed was united in holy matrimony to Deloris Fickling Reed for forty three blissful years.

Deacon Willie Reed was committed to serving as deacon at St. John Missionary Baptist Church for many years until his health declined.  He received spiritual guidance under the leadership of Reverend Dr. WC Yon.

Preceding Deacon Reed in death is a brother, Samuel Reed.

Cherishing Deacon Reed's long- lived life are his wife of the home, Deloris Reed; four sisters, Verdine Tyler of Bamberg, South Carolina, Gedell Gibson of Asheville, North Carolina, Mary H. Gardner of Detroit, Michigan and Dazarean McMillan of Orangeburg, South Carolina; his mother- in-law, Gertrude Fickling; sisters-in-law, Odesta Hailey, Desta (Herman) Jones, Catherine (James) Griffen; one brother- in -law, Nathaniel Fickling; a God-daughter, Lois Hunt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
