Demmie W. Raysor was born June 19, 1960 to Albert and Bernice Walker in Bamberg, South Carolina.  She attended Bamberg Public Schools and graduated from the University of South Carolina - Salkehatchie Campus.

Demmie met and married William Henry Raysor on December 23, 1979.  He referred to her as the love of his life and she referred to him as her best friend.  After several years, they were blessed with two children, William Matthew and Whitley Maya.

Demmie was an employee of Bamberg School District 1 and worked many years in various positions and retired as a Parent - Teacher Educator after her health began to fail.  After several years at home, Demmie became a Guardian Ad Litem, volunteered in local politics, began volunteering at the Chamber of Commerce and ultimately became Director of the Chamber of Commerce.  Demmie was a member of the Bethlehem Chapter No. 50 Order of the Eastern Star as Associate Conductress.

She loved meeting, socializing and helping people.  Like her father, she never met a stranger and formed many long-term friendships, networking opportunities and business alliances.  She was always authentic and 'unapologetically' herself before it became popular.

After a brief hospital stay, Demmie returned to her Lord, Creator and Savior at 9:52 AM on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Demmie was preceded in death by: her late spouse, William Henry Raysor; both parents, Albert (Bob) and Bernice Walker; brother, Jeff Walker; and sister, Ms. Shellie Ann Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  her son, William Matthew Raysor; daughter, Whitley Maya Fuller; grandchildren, Christon, Promise, Zoe and Mistah; brothers, John Allen, Rish (Vicki) and Elder James (Brenda) Walker; sisters, Virter Mae (Ben) Jackson, Cathy (John) Frazier, Maria and Veronica.  She also leaves a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates.
