Eartha Dean Peeples was born on September 17, 1957, in Blackville, SC to the late Matheny Peeples and Bernice Williams Peeples.

She graduated from Barnwell High School Class of 1975 and later graduated from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC with a certified nursing assistant degree. She retired from Barnwell County Hospital where she worked 20+ years as a devoted ER nurse and a nurse technician. Eartha also worked as a substitute teacher for Barnwell County School for several years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Blackville, SC

Eartha is preceded in death by her mother and father, Matheney Peeples and Bernice Williams Peeples; two brothers, Rev. Harold Peeples and Charles Peeples; two nephews, Harold Odom and Travis Washington.

Cherishing Eartha's precious memories are:  one son, Christopher Michael Peeples of Blackville, SC; one daughter, Regina Alexia Peeples of Blackville, SC; a beloved friend, Joe Frank Reed of Blackville, SC; siblings, Maxine (Nathaniel) Flemmings of Decatur, GA,  Geneva (Johnnie) Gaines Barnwell, SC,  Evelyn (Donnie)  Ford of Barnwell, SC, Teresa (Edgar) Walker Barnwell, SC, Ernest (Rachel) Peeples of Stone Mountain, GA, Kenny Williams of White Pond, SC, Anthony Peeples of Barnwell, SC; one stepsister, Issie Mae Johnson of Barnwell, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
