Eddie Lee Dunbar was born to the late Wilson and Elizabeth (Frank) Dunbar on April 8, 1955 in Barnwell County, South Carolina. Eddie was the 11 ^th child of 13 born to this union.

On April 28, 2021 the Dunbar Family circle was broken when God in is infinite wisdom called Eddie home.

At an early age, Eddie joined the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Blackville SC.  Eddie graduated in 1975 from Blackville-Hilda High School. During his lifetime he worked at Ducane Heating in Blackville, SC , Heilig Meyers Furniture in Denmark, SC, Carter Furniture Company, Barnwell, SC and as  truck driver for Sherwin Williams in Denmark, SC.

Eddie was united in marriage to Brenda Smith in 1984. To this union, two children were born, Banika and Lee.

Eddie was preceded in death by both parents; his brothers, Freddie Lee Dunbar, Wilson Dunbar, Jr, William Henry Dunbar, Willie Joe Dunbar & James Dunbar Sr.; one sister, Clara Mae Woods; nephews, Daniel Dunbar and Larry Johnson, Sr. and a niece, Kewanna Dunbar.

Dearly loved and truly missed by his family, Eddie leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Brenda Smith Dunbar of the home; his daughter, Banika Smith, Blackville SC; his son, Lee Travis Dunbar, Blackville SC; sisters, Lizzie Mae Wise, Anna Eliza (Alonzo) Johnson, Annie Mae Williams (Holman Chess), Elouise Dunbar (Samuel Corbitt), Edna Louise Dunbar; brothers, Daniel (Essie) Dunbar, General McArthur (Valarie) Dunbar all of Blackville, South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Lonnie Rudolph, Williston, SC, Evon Bradley (Owen) Shuler, Orangeburg, SC; brother-in-Law, Jerome Smith, Augusta, GA; an adopted sister, Jonann Smith, Blackville, SC. Eddie also leaves to cherish his fond memories and brotherhood, his loving and devoted friends, Willie Newton, Butch Sabb, Walter Thomas, Sherman Davis, William Harley & Ronnie Sabb. Eddie also dearly loved his nieces and nephews, Veronica Johnson, Victoria Dunbar, James Dunbar, Jr., Anthony Dunbar, Marshell Green, Aaron Dunbar, Jocelyn Rhodall, Terry Calhoun, Eric Dunbar, April Wise, Priscilla Wise, Richard Jones, Willie Jones, Sarah Johnson, Sondra Livingston, Willie Williams, Leroy Williams, Leon Williams, Yolanda Cruz, Lashammala Dunbar, Terelle Dunbar, Shanita Jones,  as well as is his great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Eddie loved all his family dearly and he will be truly missed.
