Funeral services for the late Elder Frank C. McNair will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Denmark-Olar High School,Denmark, South Carolina. Interment services will follow immediately at Bamberg Memory Gardens, Bamberg, South Carolina. Viewing for the public will be held on Saturday from 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm at the funeral home.



Frank Cornelius McNair was born on October 25, 1946 to the late Cornelius McNair and Gertrude Worsley- McNair, in Plymouth, North Carolina. Pastor McNair was the third of four children Carrie McNair McGrae, Annie McNair, Frank McNair, and the late Alvin McNair. The McNair family migrated from North Carolina to Brooklyn, New York. While residing in Brooklyn, Frank enhanced his skills as a minister of music at his local church, where he served faithfully.
As he grew into adulthood, Frank met his Georgia Peach, Annie L. Hill. They were united in holy matrimony on October 12, 1968. This union was blessed with three children, Kevin McNair, Kenneth McNair, and Yolanda McNair- Hammonds. During this time, Frank furthered his education and graduated from Queens College of New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. He also was employed for CIGNA Corporation for several years as an accountant in the insurance industry. He then relocated to the state of New Jersey. During this time in his life, he served under The COGIC Jurisdiction of South New Jersey where he was elevated from a Minister to an Elder within the denomination. He was also elevated as a Pastor in the South Jersey Jurisdiction in Clayton, New Jersey. He also served as Pastor for the Men's Ministry at Christian Tabernacle COGIC in North Philadelphia, PA under the leadership of the late Bishop R. T. Jones Sr. and Bishop R. J. Jones Jr.
Pastor McNair followed the call of God and relocated from New Jersey to Bamberg, South Carolina in 1999. From there Pastor McNair attended Victory Temple COGIC in Denmark, South Carolina. He was then elevated to serve as Pastor of Holy Temple COGIC Bamberg, South Carolina from 2000-2005. God also called Pastor McNair into educating our youth of tomorrow. He was employed as a Math Professor in Timmonsville, South Carolina and then transferred to Denmark-Olar High School in Denmark, South Carolina, where he served as Vice Principal from 2003-2008. While employed at the high school, he inspired, encouraged, and challenged many students in their educational journey and made a tremendous impact in the Denmark School District. From 2008-2015, Pastor McNair returned to Victory Temple COGIC, where he served on the Elders Council, taught Sunday school, and served as the musician under the leadership of Pastor James Peele. He also served as Elder, musician, Sunday School teacher, devotion leader, along with various other ministries at St. Noah COGIC Aiken, South Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor Roy Hooker.
He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: his wife, Evangelist Annie L. McNair of Savannah, GA; three children, Kevin (Zubeida) McNair of Washington, DC, Kenneth (Lisa Lynn) McNair of Virginia, and his princess, Yolanda (Jermaine Sr.) McNair -Hammonds of Augusta, Georgia; five grandsons, Kevin McNair Jr, Tyreese McNair, Omari McNair, Jermaine Hammonds Jr, and David McNair; two sisters, Carrie McGrae of New Jersey and Annie McNair of New York and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, church family, and friends.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
