With hearts filled with love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Elizabeth Corley Reed, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Elizabeth was born on April 22, 1946, and lived a life that reflected faith, humility, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas E. Reed; her loving mother, Elmina Corley and father Hammond Lee; and her cherished sisters, Emma Peacock, Juanita Hobbs, Elaine Armstrong and brother David Marvin Lee.
She received her education through the Blackville Public School System and graduated from Macedonia High School in 1967. Elizabeth later became a dedicated employee of Dayco Products Inc, where she faithfully served for many years until her retirement. Her strong work ethic, dependability, and quiet determination earned the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside her.
Elizabeth's greatest joy was found in caring for her family and serving the Lord. She possessed a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and a generous nature that touched everyone she encountered. Although she was naturally quiet, those who knew her best appreciated her warm smile, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor.

A faithful member of Sunshine Baptist Church, Elizabeth proudly served on the Usher Board. Her life was a testimony of faithful service, humility, and steadfast commitment to God and His people.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving sons, Dr. Thomas C. Reed and Lee A. Reed, Aunt Lois Kirkland of Blackville, SC, Uncle Robert E. Lee of Allendale, SC and her beloved siblings:  Hariel E. (Retha) Corley of Blackville, SC, Leroy B. (Renee) Corley of Ellenwood, GA, Harriett Betterson of Columbia, SC, Willean Hillman of Columbia, SC, Margaret Jackson of Blackville, SC, Robert A. (Hyacinth) Corley of Evans, GA, Marilyn Corley-Williams of Columbia, SC, John E. (Andell) Corley of Laurens, SC, Robert E. (Shermineda) Lee of Flushing NY, Gregory (Brenda) Lee of Far Rockaway, NY.

She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, extended family members, church family, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love, kindness, wisdom, and beautiful examples. Though Elizabeth's earthly journey has ended, her legacy of faith, compassion, strength, and unconditional love will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
