MS. ELOIS HUGHES, daughter of the late Mr. Lawson Hughes and
Mrs. Isabell Hughes was born on March 13, 1945. On Monday, July 5,
2021 at Laurel Baye Nursing Home in Blackville, SC,  the Lord took her
hands, thereby giving eternal rest in His loving arms.

She graduated from Macedonia High School with the class of 1965.

At an early age, Elois joined Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a mem-
ber of the Sanctuary Choir and also served as a Church Aide Member.

She is preceded in death by four brothers, Vasemore Hughes, Lawson Hughes, Jr., Chester Hughes, Sr. and Wilbur Hughes and one sister, Eliz-
abeth Hughes.

Those remaining to cherish fond memories of Elois are: her sons, Shawn
William Hughes, Demetoris Shepard and Nicholas Anton (Athena)
Hughes; a grandson, Keviaun Summers; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Bell
Miller and Ms. Clara Mae Hughes of Barnwell, South Carolina, Ms. Mary
Alice Hughes and Mrs. Eartha Eady of Blackville, South Carolina; three
borthers, Mr. Paul Hughes of Blackville, South Carolina, Mr. Harold
Hughes of Augusta, Georgia and Mr. Robert Hughes of Miami, Florida;
two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Teresa Hughes of
Blackville, South Carolina and Mrs. Anita
Hughes of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother-in-law,
Mr. Reginald Eady and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and many friends.
