Frank James **Mrs. Jones will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mrs. Eloise Ross Jones, 91 was born in Olar, South Carolina to the late Johnny and Sarah Nimmons Ross. At an early age, she attended Middle Place School and Voorhees High School. Eloise graduated from Wilkerson High School and continued her education at the University of South Carolina. Eloise attended Orange Grove United Methodist Church in Bamberg, SC and later became a member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, SC where she sang on the senior choir. She worked as a licensed cosmetologist at the Methodist Oaks where she provided care for the elderly. While residing in New York, Eloise took care of children for many families in their home. Eloise was united in holy matrimony to the late Asa Clay Jones. To this union, two children were born. One daughter, Jacqueline Jones preceded her in death. Cherishing Mrs. Jones' fond memories are: one son, Douglas Jones; one loving and caring daughter-in-law, Barbara Kennedy Jones; three grandchildren, Irvin Riley, Terrance Riley and Christian K. Jones; one sister, Rosa Bell Morris; one aunt, Carleither Moore; a very special cousin, John Henry Brabham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 5:00- 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence of her son, Douglas (Barbara) Jones, 158 North Circle Dr., Orangeburg, SC and at the funeral home.
