Funeral services for the late Mrs. Emma Ruth Stroman will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Cedar Grove AME Church, Orangeburg, SC. Interment services will follow at the church cemetery. Viewing for the public will be held on Monday from 10:00 am- 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home at 4:00 pm. Mrs. Emma Ruth Stroman was born on January 11, 1928 in Cope, South Carolina to the late Nelson and Suzanne Wolfe Brown. At an early age, Emms accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and joined Cedar Grove AME Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She served faithfully until her health declined. She was educated at Dunton School in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was employed at Palmetto Motel and Orangeburg Sausage Company until she retired. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Lowman Stroman in 1949. On Thursday, November 5, 2015, she moved from her earthly home to God's house "for it is written in my Father's house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you that I go to prepare a place for you saith the Lord". Emma was preceded in death by four sisters, Euralee, Ora Bell, Flossie and Daisy Mae and four brothers, Herman, Reese, Earl and Melton. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her devoted daughter, Barbara Ann (Theodore "Ted") Seaberry; one brother, Johnny (James) Brown; one sister, Earthel Tyler; three grandchildren, Sharon (Cedric) Myers, Trenny (Willie) Gathers and Reginald (Audrey) Seaberry; six great grandchildren, Triniesha, Reginald Jr, Nykeal, Tyecca, Montaysia and Jayden; a special niece, Levita Gary and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
