Funeral services for Estelle Jennings will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Capernaum Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment services will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Estelle Cann Jennings of Bamberg, S.C. was born on July 29, 1943 to the late Ulysses and Pearline Cann. She was called to rest on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Bamberg County Hospital. Estelle attended the public schools in Bamberg County. She worked at Bamberg Manufacture and Bamberg Textile for many years. She was a member of Capernaum Baptist Church in Denmark, S.C. Estelle was a loving and caring person. She was a sweet lady who was always willing to do whatever she could to help others. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Frank Jennings, Jr. This union was blessed with seven children. Her survivors are - - - five sons: Frank D. Jennings of the home, Randy Jennings of Denmark, SC, Gerald Lewis Jennings of Bamberg, SC, Ramone Jennings of Bamberg, SC, and Ellis Dean Jennings of Bamberg, SC; two daughters: Lena Jennings Lewis and Letha Pearl Jennings of the home; six sisters: Lee Anna (Rev. Arthur) Brabham of Bamberg, SC, Lillie Mae (Henry Lee) Avinger of Vance, SC, Betty Ann (James) Hightower of Bamberg, SC, Emma Pickney, Mary Malloney and Daisy Smith of Queens Village, NY; two brothers: Ulysses Smith and Franklin Smith of Atlanta, GA; four sisters-in-law: Helen Nelson of Bamberg, SC, Margaret (Lucius) Simmons of Norway, SC, Sallie (Charles) Sherman of Bamberg, SC, and Annie Ruth Cann of Bamberg, SC; two brothers-in-law: Jessie (Kathleen) Jennings of Greensboro, NC and Jasper (Lou Edith) Jennings of Bamberg, SC; two grandchildren, one son-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly. We are truly going to miss Estelle but the memories of her will always be cherished. Viewing for the public will be held on Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence, 1601 Binnicker Bridge Road, Bamberg, South Carolina and at the funeral home. Sacred arrangements are entrusted to Dash's Funeral Home of Bamberg.
