Everdell Dunbar Willis, the daughter of Late Meleadell Gleaton and Rodney Dunbar
was born on October 11, 1957 in Orangeburg County. She entered into eternal rest on
August 22, 2026 at Carlyle Senior Care Facility in Blackville, SC.
"Gail" as she was affectionally called was a graduate of Hunter Kinard High School
Class of 1975. She was the oldest of seven children. She was a faithful member of
New Beginning Outreach Center Ministries until her health began to fail. She was
employed for several years at Dixie Narco Manufacturing, before pursuing her
education at Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College earning a certification in Certified
Nursing Assistant.
Gail was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, James Willis on June 24, 2000.
Gail loved to spend time with her family and reading her bible. She was passionate
about cooking Sunday dinner and opened her door to anyone that wanted a meal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Willie Mae Gatson, her
husband James Willis and daughter Leah Burkett.

Gail, leaves to honor and cherish her memory, one son, Michael G. Burkett, Salley, SC;
one daughter, Jamie A. Willis, Blackville, SC; one stepdaughter, Alexis Dunbar; one
stepson, Antonio Stallings, both of Aiken, SC; two sisters, Robin Creech, Orangeburg,
SC, Janice (Roger) Savage, Fredricksburg, VA; four brothers, Rodney (Enon) Dunbar
Jr, Wagener, SC, Bradley (Janice) Dunbar, Aiken, SC, Michael (Denise) Dunbar, and
Terell (Deitrus) Gleaton, both of Springfield, SCl one brother- in- law, David (Essie)
Cullum, Aiken, SC; one aunt, Hattie Mae James, Chapel Hill, SC; a faithful and devoted
uncle, Robert Gatson and Butler Stroman both of Springfield, SC; five grandchildren,
Neriah Frazier, Isaiah Burkett, Aubrielle Glover, Khloe Jamison, Love Burkett, and
Chosen Burkett and a host of loving nieces, nephews and other family and friends .
