M r. Frank Felder was born on November 20, 1923 in Ashley Community of Barnwell County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Joseph and Laura Johnson Felder. He departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Southern Palmetto Hospital in Barnwell, South Carolina.

Frank attended the Bethany and Brown Chapel Schools of Barnwell County, South Carolina.

At an early age, he joined the Bethany Baptist Church, where he sang on the Gospel Choir. Later in life, Frank changed his membership to the Shrub Branch Baptist Church, where he served until his health failed.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Almetta Jenkins Felder.

Frank was employed at the Edisto Research Center of Blackville, South Carolina until he retired in 1987 after 18 years.

Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Almetta Felder; a daughter, Bernice Raysor; his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memories —three daughters: Kathy Emma Simmons and Frankie Roberson of Blackville, SC and Laura (Andy) Johnson of Aiken, SC; two sons: Jasper Felder of Stockholm, Sweden and Anwar Muhammad of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters: Laura (Marion) Rumph of Palmetto, FL and Rose Marie Goldware of Fayetteville, NC; one sister-in-law, Mamie Felder of Trenton, NJ; one brother-in-law, Elijah Jenkins of Barnwell, SC; a devoted granddaughter and caregiver, Mary Ann Reed of Blackville, SC; 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
