Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Sweet Rest Baptist Church in Olar, South Carolina at 2:00 p.m. Committal services will be held in the church cemetery. Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Dash's Funeral Home of Bamberg. Frank Kearse, Jr. was born on October 25, 1934 in Olar, South Carolina to the late Frank Kearse, Sr. and Inez Dublin-Kearse. Frank had three sisters, Dorothy Mae Dickerson, Marzine Goodman and Shirl Charlene Davis-Turner and one brother, David Kearse; all preceded him in death. Frank was united in matrimony to Pauline Toomer for 56 wonderful years, which they shared until his passing. Frank and Pauline spent 33 years in New York and then decided to return home upon his retirement. Frank loved reading his Bible, playing solitaire and watching baseball. He was a loving father to his two daughters and enjoyed his nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Frank had a very close relationship with his sister, Mother Mary Hudson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Pauline Kearse of Bamberg, SC; two daughters: Ella Mae McCaskell of Bamberg, SC and Inez Shipley (Gilbert) of Orange Park, FL; three sisters: Mother Mary Hudson of Govan, SC, Elizabeth Smart (Willie) of Pompano Beach, FL and Nancy Davis of Denmark, SC; one sister-in-law, Ruth Green (Leonard) of Brooklyn, NY; one brother -in-law, Elijah Grant (Jackie) of Jamaica Queens, NY; two special granddaughters: Ella Mae Washington of Bamberg, SC and Shyla Turner of Orange Park, FL; four grandsons: Leroy McCaskell of Bamberg, SC, Harold McCaskell (Pirtella) of Bamberg, SC, David McCaskell of Bamberg, SC and Patrick Turner, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; two special neighbors, Edgar and Hazel Martin of Bamberg, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
