Funeral Information: Time: 1:00 pm Place: Blackville Hilda High School Auditorium, Blackville, SC Date: Saturday, April 6, 2013 Burial Location: Hope Memorial Park Cemetery, Barnwell, SC **Mr. Felder will be placed in the auditorium one hour before the service. Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 10:00 am- 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Freddie Lee Felder was born April 7, 1952 to the late Willie and Beatrice Felder in Blackville, SC. On Thursday, March 28, 2013, he entered into eternal rest after a long bravely fought battle with cancer at the Medical College of Georgia,in Augusta, GA. At an early age, he received his Christian upbringing at the Macedonia Baptist Church. He received his education at the public schools of Barnwell County,graduating from Macedonia High School in the Class of 1970. He bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. After many years of service, he retired from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in 2008, due to failing health. On October 9, 1987, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary Ella Woods. Very early in this union, the couple made a decision to become parents to their threechildren, which they later adopted in 1994. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Felder; mother, BeatriceFelder; sister, Lilly Mae Bailey; brothers, Queenie Felder and Leroy Felder ; sister, Adele Felder; niece, Sandra Barnes. He leaves to cherish his precious memories - beloved wife of 25 years, Mary Woods Felder of North Augusta, SC; three children: Malaika F.(Adrian) Townes of Simpsonville, SC; Michael W. (Paige) Felder of San Diego, CA and Melissa W. Felder, of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren: Christopher K. Lucas, Zaniya M. Felder, Chloe D. Townes, and Darian E. Townes; four god children: Catlin, Marlena, Maurice, Kolin, and Brianna; foster children: Alvin, Pierce and Paul; siblings: Ann Myers of Brooklyn, NY, Geneva Felder of Neptune, NJ, Roosevelt Felder of Blackville, SC, Martha Felder of Blackville, SC, Roberta (George) Egerton of Freehold, NJ, Willie (Doris) Felder of Blackville, SC, Paul (Alberta) Felder of Neptune, NJ, Willean (Willis) Holley of North Augusta, SC, Thaddeus (Debra) Felder of Columbia, SC; raised as siblings: Albert Felder of Blackville, SC, Laurah (Michael) Sanders of Chesapeake, VA, Andrienna (Joseph) Isaac of North Augusta, SC, Lonzenia (Alton) Kinsey of New Bern, NC; brother and sisters- in- laws, Sammie (Eartha) Woods , Arthur Woods, Ronnie Woods, James (Margaret) Woods, Catherine (Elder George) Burchalter, Dora (Thomas) Ashley, Shirley (Robert) Johnson, Carrie and Darlene Woods and a host nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
