Funeral services for Lee Browne, 79, of 1141 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Greater Faith Baptist Church, 203 Dorchester St., Orangeburg. Mr. Browne will be placed in the church sanctuary an hour prior to the service. Mr. Browne was born May 2, 1933, in Port Washington, N.Y., to the late George Browne and Elizabeth Prescott Browne. Those left to carry on his legacy of love are his wife of 55 years, Marlene Jackson Browne; four children, George, Chris, Libby and Lyle Browne; seven grandchildren, Natalie and Natacha White, GeMar Browne, Tyler Browne, Galen Browne, Evan Browne and Seven Browne; a sister, Sadie Davis (William) of Round Rock, Texas. Also left to cherish his memories are nieces, nephews, cousins, family friends and church members. The viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Dash's Funeral Home, 997 Amelia St., Orangeburg. The family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greater Faith Child Development Center, 203 Dorchester St., Orangeburg, SC 29115.
