Miss Gwendolyn Manigault entered into eternal rest on November 6, 2025, at her residence in Bamberg, South Carolina. Born on September 25, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of the late Elliott and Ruby Manigault.

At an early age, Gwendolyn accepted Christ and became a faithful member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Bambers, South Carolina. She was a proud 1975 graduate of Bamberg Ehrhardt High School. She later attended Voorhees College where she continued to grow both personally and spiritually.

Gwendolyn had a heart as warm as her famous home-cooked meals. She loved cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends; always bringing laughter and light wherever she went. She was known for her bold honesty, infectious humor, and genuine spirit. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel like family. Though she endured an extended illness, Gwendolyn's faith and inner light never dimmed. Even when her voice grew quiet, her presence spoke volumes of love and strength. She was preceded in transition by her loving parents, Elliott and Ruby Manigault; her cherished granddaughter, Khyana Joe; and her devoted brother, Kelly Manigault.

She leaves behind a legacy of love in her three devoted children; Andrea Manigault, Deandrea Joe, and Jerelle Joe and her bonus son Travis Joe; 13 precious grandchildren; four great grands; her loving sisters, Karen Johnson, Ludell Manigault, Redell Manigault and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Her laughter, her honesty, and her unwavering love will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
