On Thursday, April 19, 2018, Hattie E. Brown (fondly known as Hattie Mae) departed this life to be with the Lord. Hattie was born and raised in Blackville, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Macedonia High School (Class of 1968) and Denmark Technical College.  Hattie worked faithfully and retired happily from Owens Corning Fiberglass after thirty years of service and was also a member of Ned Branch Baptist Church of Barnwell, South Carolina.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and aunt who loved to laugh and play jokes on her family and friends - she was always the center of attention. Hattie is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah S. Ephriam and Katherine Ephriam, her brother, Elijah S. Ephriam, Jr. and her husband, Harry L. Brown.

She will forever be remembered by her daughter and best friend, Fonda E. Patrick along with her faithful son-in-law, Andre Patrick. She also leaves behind five loving sisters, Lucille Taylor of Trenton, NJ, Ruby A. Rutledge (Ernest) of Ewing, NJ, Carolyn A. Simpson of Brooklyn, NY, Jaqueline Wroten of Olar, SC and Sheryl E. Steadman (Tony) of South Orange, NJ; one grandson, Andre Kinslow of Palm Coast, FL; one goddaughter, Natasha (Jason) Williams of Barnwell, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will continue to celebrate her life.
