Hattie Mae Goodwin, 84, of Blackville SC, passed away October 2,2019, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Clarence and Clarice Goodwin on October 22, 1934 in Denmark, South Carolina. She received her education from Bamberg County Public Schools. At an early age she joined Capernaum Baptist Church in Denmark, SC. Later in life she became a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Clarence and Clarice Goodwin, five children Gloria Goodwin, Annette C. Johnson, Vera Goodwin, Norma Goodwin and Christopher Goodwin, two siblings, Edith Goodwin and Clarence Goodwin Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a special grandson she reared, Craig Goodwin of the home, five daughters, Joann Goodwin of Blackville SC, Carol(Samuel) Gathers, of North Charleston, SC , Ruthie (Dwight) Smalls of Blackville, SC, Edith(Darren) Stroman of Blackville, SC, Jimmie Goodwin of Blackville, SC, one son Ronnie Goodwin of Bronx, NY; Six siblings Clara M. Lee of Neeses, SC, Rutha L Koslow of Norway, SC, Carrie Acosta of Denmark, SC, Mary E.  Boykins of Baltimore, MD, Willie E. Goodwin of Blackville, SC, Rev Dr. James R. (Suzette) Goodwin of Chicago, IL. She also leaves 43 grands, 62 great grands and a host of nieces, nephews and friends
