Mrs. Hattie Mae Prophet was born on October 31, 1940 in Cope, SC.  She was born to the late Evangelish Vance Williams and Mary Nance Williams.  She departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

She was educated in the public school of Orangeburg County at G.W. Carver School.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all.

A an early age she became a member of Calvary United Methodist Church which is now Edisto Fork United Methodist Church.

She married her childhood sweetheart, the late Jade Prophet.  They kept their vows till death separated them in 2009.

Mrs. Prophet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two brothers, Roger Williams and George Williams and one grandson, Trinton Prophet.

Mrs. Prophet leaves a legacy and much love to her sons, Jackie (Michele) Prophet and Anthony Prophet; granddaughters, Jaylah Prophet, Damia Black; great granddaughter, Madison Black; one brother, Harold Williams all of Orangeburg, SC; one sister, Joandell Smith of Brooklyn, NY;  special cousins and friends, Ethel Lee, Nell Simpson and Juliette Isaac and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Viewing for the public will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon- 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
