Funeral services for the late Mr. Henry David Cain will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 am at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Old Church), 1739 Amelia Street, Orangeburg, SC. Interment services will follow immediately at Andrew Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Orangeburg, SC. Rev. Yvonne Singleton, Interim Pastor will officiate. The family invites friends to attend a public viewing at Dash's Funeral Home Chapel (Orangeburg) on Sunday, October 18th from 12:00 noon - 8:00 pm. On April 4, 1950, Henry D. Cain was born to Mrs. Lillie R. Cain and the late Deacon Herman Cain in Orangeburg, SC. Henry entered a state of rest on October 10, 2015 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. Henry attended New Mount Zion Baptist Church as a youth. Later, he was affiliated and served in various capacities at Zion Missionary Baptist in Roswell, Georgia. Henry's educational journey started at Felton Laboratory School. Thereafter, Henry attended Wilkinson High School where he graduated as class Salutatorian in May 1968. Henry futhered his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC and he attained a degree in Civil Engineering. While at USC, he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Henry's work afforded him the opportunity to travel to many states and countries. However, his passion and love was racing!! He was also an astute entrepreneur. Henry leaves to cherish fond memories his dedicated and loving mother Mrs. Lillie R. Cain of Orangeburg, SC; his dear sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. Loretta (Willie) Burns of Alpharetta, GA; a niece, Mrs. Monique (Antonio) Phillips and five grand nephews, all of Blacklick, Ohio; an uncle, Deacon Marion Cain of Orangeburg, SC, and many wonderful cousins and value friends.
