Funeral services for Mrs. Parmlee will be held on Friday, July 13,2018 at 1:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Blackville, SC.  Rev. Dr. Herman Wallace will officiate.  Viewing for the public will be held on Friday from 1:30- 8:00 pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church.


Isabelle Sutton Parmlee of Lees, South Carolina, 84 years young, has joined her heavenly family on July 7, 2018. She was born to the union of Orrie-Bell and James Emmitt Sutton on September 20, 1933. Isabelle lived a glorious life dedicated to the service to others.

She received her educational foundation in Lees, South Carolina.

In 1954, she moved to Roxbury, Massachusetts and became a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She returned to South Carolina in 2006, joining the Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she became ordained as a member of the Mother's Board.

Isabelle has blessed this world with a number of years of philanthropy and unselfishness from Massachusetts to South Carolina. She served the Family Service of Greater Boston and was honored for her 20 years of service noting great thanks from the Board of Trustees. Midwifery, serving the hungry, aiding the homeless, servicing the elderly, and comforting the dying are among the great deeds Isabelle leaves in her wake.

Surrounded by love, Isabelle was preceded by the love of her life and husband, William H. Parmlee and her daughter, Pearl M. DaSilva and additional children.

Those left to cherish her memories are - Her children: Donell (Lynett) Porter, Anita (Jeffrey) Milton-Holder, Linda Porter-Obasohan; Stepchildren: Helen Parmlee, Alice (Willie) Polite, Judy (Earnest) Barnes, Shirley (William) Gibson, William (Wanda) Parmlee, Edward Parmlee, Richard (Adrene) Parmlee, Eugene (Dedra) Parmlee, Linda (Ralph) Walker, Dorothy Cox and Deborah (Frederic) Smith; Sisters: Azalee Freeman, Rosalee Moye and Lillian (Oscar) Lee; 19 Grandchildren, 38 Great grandchildren, 2 Great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
