Funeral services for the late Izell Ephriam, Jr. will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11:00 am at Macedonia Baptist a Church, Blackville,SC. Interment services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, SC. Izell Ephriam, Jr., 53, received his call on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 5:02 p.m. at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was born on December 4, 1960 in Washington, D.C. to the late Izell Ephriam, Sr. and Zelma Hicks Ephriam, who preceded him in death. At an early age, he joined and was baptized at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Izell was educated in the school systems of Washington, D.C. and Blackville-Hilda High, where he graduated in June 1979. Thereafter, he joined the U.S. Air Force in June 1979 to June 1983. After serving our country for 4 years, he entered the work force at Dayco in Williston, South Carolina as a Machinist for 18 years. After which, he started working at Wal-Mart in Barnwell, south Carolina in January 2005 to present. He leaves to cherish his memories - a son, Jhajuan Daque'z Ephriam; (3) sisters: Carolyn D. Hicks of Blackville, South Carolina, Marilyn C. Ephriam of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Constance Y. Ephriam of Blackville, South Carolina; (2) brothers: John M. Ephriam of Barnwell, South Carolina and Joseph E. Ephriam of Atlanta, Georgia; aunts and uncles: Mary (George) Perry of Laurel, Maryland, James (Laura) Hicks of Hyattsville, Maryland, Willie (Lala) Hicks of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Gloria Hicks of Midlothian, Virginia, Ammie Harley of Barnwell, South Carolina and Josephus Hicks of Washington, D.C.; a close friend, Sarah Grayson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
