Dr. Carl E. Williams, Sr. Mr. Presley will be placed in the sanctuary of the church one hour before the service. On Friday, December 19, 2014, Mr. Jackie Presley entered into eternal rest, after a brief illness. He was born on July 4, 1940 to the late Mary and William Presley. Jackie was a faithful and loving husband and father who did whatever it took to provide for his family. Jackie loved to sing. He was a singer with the Sons of Job for several years. The group even recorded a gospel records entitled, "I Cry Lord" and "Lord Still Remember Me". He was very proud of this accomplishment and so was his family. Our father was a man of many talents. He was a well-known gardener, landscaper, animal lover and the president of his community. Jackie was full of wisdom and knowledge and shared this with the young people in his neighborhood. At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined Central Baptist Church of Denmark, SC. He attended St. John Baptist Church and First Peter Baptist Church. Jackie was employed by Delavan, Inc. of Bamberg, SC and retired after forty-two years of dedicated service. Jackie was united in holy matrimony to Frances Catherine Banks on June 3, 1961. This union was blessed with five children. Jackie was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Darnel Presley. Cherishing Jackie's precious and fond memories are his wife of fifty three years, Frances Presley; two daughters, Jacqueline (Lawrence) Blanding and Ann Patrick; two sons, John (Doreen) Presley and Gaines (Gail) Presley; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six sisters, Julia Mae Smith, Margaret Brant, Mary (Solomon) Richburg, Janie Sexton, Berniece Henderson, Dorothy (Horace) Worth, Myrtis Brown and Janie Grier; three brothers, Bobby Presley, Willie James (Emma) Dowling and Singleton Banks; two devoted sisters-in-law, Idella (Thadeus) Johnson and Deloris Banks; a very special aunt, Mary Pinckney; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Viewing for the public will be held on Monday from 12:00 noon-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
