Jake Moseley, Jr. was born August 7, 1942 to the late Mr. Jake Moseley, Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Bernice Haynes- Moseley of Orangeburg, SC.

Jake attended Rivelon public school and later left to help his parents at home.  He was employed by the City of Orangeburg, SC and also worked as a painter and a security guard for Orangeburg County Jail.  For a short period, he also worked for the city of Columbia, SC.

As a young man Jake joined his parent's church, Gethsemane of Cordova, SC and later joined Williams Chapel AME on Glover Street in Orangeburg, SC, where he attended until his health failed.

Jake loved fishing, playing cards, attending church services and spending time with his family.  Surely, he will be missed.

Jake was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanner Mae Moseley and his sisters, Eartha Vasquez, Lavern Moseley and Lessie Moseley and Bubba Boneparte (a favorite cousin).

Jake leaves to cherish his memories:  his children, Ruth Ann Weston (Daryl) of Montgomery, Alabama, Leroy Moseley (Tuesday) of Columbia, South Carolina; Eugene Moseley (Elaine) of Columbia, South Carolina; Elizabeth Bernitra Moseley, Amy Moseley (Tony), Priscilla Moseley and his baby girl, Antonia J. Moseley (Larry) all of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Gail Hampton of New York City and Kelvin Moseley of Atlanta, Georgia; two step-children, Teresa and Terelle Moseley; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren;  his last surviving sibling, Deloris Lush of Orangeburg, South Carolina; a special friend / brother, Mr. Bobby S. Young; a special nephew, Leroy Lush as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
