Funeral services for the late Mr. James Holman will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, SC.  Interment services will follow immediately at Barnwell Memory Gardens, Barnwell, SC.  Viewing for the public will be held on Thursday from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at the funeral home.  A wake is scheduled from 6:00- 7:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church, Blackville, SC.


James Edward Holman , son of the late Shelly and Catherine Holman was born on August 1, 1939 in Blackville, South Carolina. On January 6, 2017 Mr. Holman was called home to be with the Lord.

Mr. Holman was an active member of Macedonia Baptist Church until his health failed.

Mr. Holman was educated at Macedonia High School. He expressed his love through writing and singing songs, he also enjoyed playing his keyboard.

Mr. Holman was employed with Savannah River and retired after twenty-five years.

Mr. Holman was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Mr. Holman leaves to cherish her precious memories: his loving wife Sandra Holman of thirty two years; four daughters, Jacqueline Lucas of Staten Island, Reverend Michelle (Lawrence) Desilva of Brooklyn, NY, Erika Jamison and Valerie Ray both of Blackville, SC; one son, James Holman, Jr. of Bronx, NY; three brothers-in-law, Theodore (Mary) Johnson of Jacksonville, FL., Reginald (Mary) Johnson of Columbia, SC, and Charles Johnson of Jasper, GA; one sister-in-law, Audrey Jones of Jacksonville, FL and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
