Today we celebrate the legacy of Lieutenant Jamie Maurice Arnold . He was born July 7, 1981 to the late Mr. Allen Henderson and Mrs. Jurutha Arnold in Aiken, SC.

During his formative days he resided in Blackville, South Carolina where he graduated from Blackville-Hilda High School Class of 1999. Early in life he joined the Pleasant Branch United Methodist Church, Norway, SC, and he later joined the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Blackville, SC.

After leaving high school Maurice enlisted into the United States Army. Once leaving the Military, he joined the Blackville Police Department in March of 2013. Maurice had a passion for serving his community, beginning his career as an officer and eventually becoming a lieutenant. When he wasn't serving his community he enjoyed barbequing, fishing, and online shopping. Maurice was family oriented, and full of joy. He touched every life that he came across, many hearts were saddened when his legacy was marked well done on November 7, 2019 at the age of 38.

Maurice is survived by his mother, Jurutha Arnold of the home, Daughter: Destiny Arnold of Binghamton, New York, Son: Christian Arnold of Barnwell SC, Brothers: Rickey (Rose) Arnold of Barnwell SC, Derrick (Kirby) Corbitt of Aiken SC, and William "Tony" Gleaton of Springfield SC, Grandmother: Clio Bailey of Cincinnati Ohio, Great Uncle: Williams Henderson of Cincinatti, Ohio, Uncles: Wilbur (Genova) James of Columbia SC, Bobby ( Kathy ) Washingtonof Denmark SC, Charlie (Linda) James of Blackville SC, William (Lella) Bailey, Michael Bailey, Robert (Delta) Bailey, Nathaniel Bailey, and Joseph Bailey all of Cincinnati Ohio, Great Aunts: Ida Mae Gleaton of Washington, DC, Lerleen Collins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Emma William of Blackville SC, Dorothy Yon, and Jennie Mae Baxter both of Columbia, SC, Aunts: Beatrice Washington (Ishmael) of Denver Colorado, Carol (Thomas) Glover, and Alles (James Jr.) Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Godmother: Mary Felder of N.
