On Sunday, November 2, 2025, Ms. Jessie Mae Williams,
of 49 Maize Lane, Blackville, South Carolina went home to
be with the Lord. Ms. Jessie Mae was born October 2, 1932
to the late Albertha Faust Williams and Clinton Williams in
Bamberg County, South Carolina. Later in life Jessie and her
family moved to Blackville, SC.
At an early age, Jessie joined Frost Branch Baptist Church
and was educated at the Frost Branch School.
Jessie was employed as a sharecropper, and was later employed
by Rite Way Machine Shop in Barnwell, SC and The
Villa Inn of Williston, SC.
Jessie was preceded in death by: her parents, Albertha Faust
Williams and Clinton Williams; a son, Willie Williams; a
daughter, Ida Carter; brothers, Angus, Ernest, Julius, David
and Joe Mathis Williams; sisters, Wilhelmenia Williams and
Irbell Jackson; sons-in-law, William Holiday and Douglas
Ray; daughter-in-law, Mildred Williams; niece, Louise Williams
Mayes and beloved family, Helen and John Singletary.
Jessie is survived by: five children, Bertha Ray of Atlanta,
GA, Sarah Holiday of Norway, SC, Rose (Solomon) Daniels
of Blackville, SC, Julius Williams (Sharin) of Williston, SC,
Robert (Betty) Williams of Orangeburg, SC; daughter-in-law,
Louise Williams; thirty-eight grandchildren; fifty plus greatgrandchildren;
four great-great-grandchildren; a beloved son,
Morris Peeples, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
